Summer Maintenance Help Wanted

SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY!
If you know a responsible young adult, 16 years and older, who is in need of a summer job, tell them our Village is looking for Maintenance Helpers for the summer season!

These seasonal jobs are physical jobs, mostly outdoors, such as; setting up the Chalet and Locust Lake Pavilion for events, emptying trash at the lakes, and general grounds maintenance, no experience necessary. Essential functions include lifting, walking, standing, and bending. Support our hard-working maintenance team, help keep our Village clean and looking its best, and earn money at the same time!

FLEXIBLE HOURS!

We will work around any schedule – work your own hours – the only commitment is to work as many hours as possible weekends, especially July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend.

Part Time Security Officer

We are seeking a Part-Time 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) Security Officer

  • Education: High school diploma/GED. Secondary education or study at a certified Police Academy is a plus. 
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a position dealing with the public. 
  • Must be 18 years of age, have a valid, current PA driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to spend a majority of working hours driving a vehicle in all weather conditions as well as walking / standing for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
  • Must have effective written and oral communication skills. Duties include completing daily activity logs and incident reports, issuing warnings & citations to ensure the safe operations of vehicles, including ATV’s, golf carts and snowmobiles.
  • Must be a team player and at the same time work independently while on duty maintaining frequent radio contact with the Administration Office.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work 3rd shift, weekends, holidays and special events as scheduled.

Maintenance – General (Full-Time)

Job Summary:

Must able to perform a wide range of landscaping & general maintenance duties. Will train the right person who is willing to learn and develop practical skills to advance on the job and use at home. Essential functions of the job: lift minimum 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend and crawl into awkward spaces, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, perform physical labor indoors and out in all weather conditions. Salary commensurate with experience. Knowledge of plumbing or electrical or carpentry is a plus.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Must work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have valid PA Motor Vehicle License available upon interview and pass a background check including a verification of motor vehicle records & pre-employment drug screen.

*Referral bonus is paid once the new hire referred successfully passes the 90-Day Introductory period. The new hire is also eligible for a $250 incentive bonus after successfully completing the 90-day introductory period.

Maintenance – Equipment Operator (Full Time)

Job Summary:

Must be able to operate, drive and control heavy equipment safely, such as, backhoe, tractor, grader, and single axle dump truck. Essential functions of the job: physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., operate heavy equipment for long periods of time in all weather conditions, load and unload heavy equipment from trailers. Safety is a priority, must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of safety procedures around heavy equipment and knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Experience digging, back-filling, grading, spreading stone and leveling ground a plus.

Summer Lifeguards Needed – Apply Today!

Summer is quickly approaching and we are still in need of a few more lifeguards. If you know a responsible young adult, 16 years and older, who is in need of a summer job, tell them our Village has openings too good to pass up! No commute if living in the Village, hours are 11 am to 6 pm, free Red Cross training and certification or re-certification provided, salary locally competitive or higher, not to mention the ability to add attention-getting skills and experience to a college application or resume. All this and the work is outdoors – not sweating in a fast-food kitchen, injuring a back lifting in a warehouse or risking virus transmission in a noisy, crowded, indoor water park.

We are not letting the Covid-19 virus stop us from preparing for the LLV summer season 2021! We are hiring lifeguards for Pines, East and Locust Lakes. We’ve had a shortage of lifeguards in the past and want to change that this year. This announcement is not only for residents here for the entire summer. If you own a second home and are not here for the entire summer, we can be flexible offering weekend work, with a commitment to work Memorial Day weekend, July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend and at least five additional weekends over the summer; a total commitment for only eight of sixteen weekends over the summer.
