LLV now has a live web cam but the village can't take the credit for it, this is how it came to be ....

Brief history of the LLV Web Cam
For over 25 years I have been a Locust Lake Village Homeowner.
During that time, I have grown to love the development, the people, the staff and the beautiful scenery.
Living 100 miles south of LLV, I have found myself wanting to be more in touch with what was happening up there when I was home. I found myself wondering what it looked like after a Pocono snow storm or what the leaves looked like during the fall or what the trees looked liked after the ice storm. Being a computer person, I found myself searching for web cams in the Pocono's, close to our village, to take a peak into the world up there.
I always had the computer knowledge to setup a web cam, but I never had a way to get those pictures to the Internet where I could see them. Then, in December of 2005 we had our home connected to the Internet. Now I had a way to view live pictures from Locust Lake Village. I could have just set up my own private view but I thought I would then see if there were others in the village that also would be interested in seeing these live pictures. I posted a message on our LLV message board. Turns out that there are many people who share my enthusiasm with this idea.
So, I connected up my web cam and made sure it all works. It does and it is great.
The next step is to get others, who have volunteered their time and computers, also hooked up so that we can have multiple live views on the Internet of our beautiful village.
Possibly this can develop into a Web Cam club or perhaps a LLV Computer Club. That would be a good thing.
